Firefly was my first contact with the Jossverse. I've heard all sorts of great things about Buffy and Angel, but I hadn't seen either when they were on TV. After Firefly and Serenity I was willing to give them a try. [livejournal.com profile] sandy_tyras loaned us the Buffy Season 1 DVDs. Took a while to find time to watch them--Maggie and Jamie get into enough rough-housing without giving them a kick-to-the-head rolemodel--but we've worked our way through them. Now we're hooked.

Last night we watched the last one. Gerry is coming by with Season 2 today.

I really liked the early seasons of Buffy the best. I wish I would have waited to watch the show on DVD. Considering how oddly they broadcast the show in my local area at the time it was a wonder I even saw it at all.

I never watched Buffy or Angel on broadcast, only on DVD. And it was fun to do it that way - particularly with season six - but I recommend that if you want avoid spoilers, don't watch *any* of the special-feature offerings until you've seen the whole season.

I feel the same way--now that I've seen Firefly, I want to watch them. But first I have to re-watch Firefly. :D

I think you will love Buffy.

It remains my favorite of all of Joss' creations.
