Rain In Texas

It's nice to have the drought over. I can put up with the lawn needing to be mowed more often. But tonight we noticed some critters on the garage door and realized:

When the slugs are fleeing to the high ground, the weather's too wet.

Yes, and if they seem to be climbing the door two by two, build the boat!

We had ants make a sort-of nest in our mailbox last year. I think they climbed up to avoid the rain, and brought their little babies, and decided to stick with it in the heat, too. Made it a bit tricky to get the mail out without smushing them or bringing them into the car.
