The key point is that when a minority group is visibly more successful than the majority, it will be persecuted (either through the democratic process or violence) unless an autocratic government protects it. Examples of this are the Jews in Germany, Chinese in Indonesia, Tutsi in Rwanda, and . . . depending on how you define things . . . Americans in the world.
