I like this one--Kermit is something of my role model. The Air Force stuck me in with all these ambitious-I-want-to-be-in-charge types. Of course, when something was hitting the fan and there was a chance of an error tarnishing their perfect records they were all at the back of the line. So when there's an ugly mess and some leadership is needed I tend to wind up doing the organizing. This feels like the Kermit-in-charge-of-the-theatre style of management: essential, successful, unappreciated, unrewarded. But hey, I know my niche.
