I've done some different "What Muppet are you?" tests. I always come out as Kermit, which fits reasonably well. Harrased, cranky, but basically responsible and effective.

Hm, not Dr. Bunson Honeydew? That would have been my first guess. I like Kermit, though. I've always had a really soft spot for him, especially when he's waving his arms around and saying "yaaaaaay!"

I think I'm too into practical applications to be Dr. Honeydew, but he wouldn't be a bad fit. I like Kermit better though. And you'd probably like it if I loosened up enough to do the "Yaaaay!" :)

We will now step behind the safety blast shield *scurries behind cover* while my assistant Beaker *gestures across room to unshielded area* activates the nuclear fusion generator. *glances around blast shield* Ready, Beaker? 3...2...Oooh, this is SOOO exciting!...*repeat ecstatic finger wiggle*...1...LAUNCH!

Faster Than Dumbness

Here at Muppet Labs, we let OTHER so-called scientists play with the little problems.

*raises index finger in Lecture Pose* I'm sure many of you have noticed that when you flip the little flippy-switch *finger-wiggling demonstration* to turn a light on... *gestures toward flourescent desk lamp prop*

(Beaker! Flip the little flippy-switch!)

*FLASH*

...there is often a brief but noticeable wait before the light bulb gets all lighty. HOWEVER, when you flip the little flippy-switch the OTHER way to turn the light OFF... *gestures toward lamp, sees Beaker, looks horrified*

(Beaker! You put your hair OUT this INSTANT! What have I told you about playing with fire in the lab?!?)

Now, where was I? Ah, yes--when you turn the light OFF... (Beaker? BEAKER! Get back in here and flip the little flippy switch the other way!) ...the dark arrives *raises finger in Lecture Mode again* INSTANTLY!

And so with this simple demonstration we see that Dark travels much faster than Light. Therefore, we at Muppet Labs have left the *scornfully* small and simple matter of Faster Than Light travel to lesser scientists, while WE have been busily perfecting the Faster Than DARK spaceship. *full-body shimmy of hubristic superiority*

*sotto voce, in mild miff at having his punch line pre-empted* And yes, it also delivers flowers before you even order them. Beakie was QUITE insistent about that. He even put the address of the hospital on this little speed-dialie thingie... *pokes buttons furiously*
