selenite0So Northrop brought me out to Texas to interview for a job, and then their budget was cut and the job went away. Then somebody else quit and needed to be replaced. Today I got a verbal offer for the job.
Not completely settled yet--the relocation package they sent me would cover less than half of the cost to move us. They have this strange delusion that renters are all just-marrieds in a two-bedroom apartment with no kids. So I'm toting up the costs and we'll see if they'll actually foot the bill. I suspect they will, or Lockheed will actually make an offer (supposedly the paperwork for that one is working slowly through the system).
We're going to escape from LA!
