If we really want to go for accuracy, it's "Mother of two rescues children from polar bear: Hunter kills bear before it can kill her"

But that just gets wordy, doesn't it? :-)

All right, so the common sense part of my brain says that was foolish. Most of me just says it was awesome.

While I probably wouldn't have done the same thing, I understand the instinct.
