My (hopeful) boss-to-be called earlier. Apparently I've done all the paperwork I need to do, but he just discovered he needs to do some more HR had never told him about. So the clock hasn't been running but theoretically will start after he finishes the interview report this afternoon. Maybe they'll make the offer next week. Oh, and the other company hasn't been heard from since I provided a spreadsheet showing how much it'd cost to move us to Texas. Sigh.

So I get to keep crunching along in the current job pretending I'm going to be here for years.
