Bookcase Doors

Uncrate is offering bookcase doors to create hidden rooms. This is cool. Not that I want to hide any rooms in our house. I just think we're going to need places to put more bookcases.

I think the problem at our place would be that the halls don't have enough width, so you'd have to put the bookcase on the inside of the room. Good for storage, bad for secrecy.

Nice, but I've been pricing "hidden doors" by other manufacturers, and they're much too rich for my blood. When I get around to building the bookcase/hidden door which will separate the library from the office, I'll be building my own.

You know... something like that would be great for a home office/work from home scheme. Shelf's closed? Dad's working, and easy to ignore that way. (or, say, if you want to keep a room a secret from kids in perpetuity--but I don't imagine that could work for very long.)

Wish I had a room that I could keep hidden. Big house, but not that big!! All of the rooms are in use.

we've had plans to use one to replace our cellar door. The wall it is on has too many doorways and we can always use more bookcases.
