Actually, yes. He's a heretic, he's part of the internet culture undermining their way of life, and he doesn't have many friends among the decision-makers. I bet it's just union rules keeping him from getting fired. Now if the paper had competent management they'd probably be setting him up as the webgod for the paper . . . but how many newspapers have that?

Y'know, I think he nailed Disney World perfectly. You know it's fake, manufactured for your benefit, but you drink the Kool-Aid, and for a time, it's just fine, thank you.
