I don't know as the article supports your point, since the focus of the article is "a recent MIT grad" and thus probably does not have a particularly low IQ.
The median recent grad of twenty years ago (such as, ahem, me) wouldn't have been able to do that. A super-genius could have . . . and twenty years from now it won't take an MIT degree.
