I just got a catalog from University of Southern California Bookstore. I flipped through out of idle curiosity. Turns out there were no books offered at all.

Guess they figure alumni have completed their reading quotient, and can only be convinced to spend money on gear that shows others they are educated.

I think this is more about showing they picked the right football team to root for.

Kind of guessing that they do have books for sale at the store itself, but nobody is using their catalog in order to find copies of "Fundamentals of Chemistry".

That said, it wouldn't be that surprising to find some History of USC book in there, either. I know my High School liked to sell copies of "The Headmaster" since it was actually about our school.

Oh, I've bought textbooks and SF novels at the physical bookstore. But they don't have any that they want to pitch to the alumni. My undergrad school likes to promote books by the profs but apparently USC doesn't.
