Stake the FMA
Feb. 25th, 2004 01:58 pmI just thought of the quickest way to get rid of the anti-gay-marriage amendment. Get 17 states to pass resolutions saying they won't pass the amendment. That'd show there's no chance of it ever passing and the whole thing is an exercise in posturing (which it is--the Reps know they don't have the votes). Then we can toss it in the trash with the flag-burning amendment and get on with our (hopefully, happily married) lives.
There's a war on, after all. Let's concentrate on the important stuff.
