Kerry-McCain?
Mar. 10th, 2004 01:05 pmSen. McCain said he'd entertain being Kerry's Veep. Then he said "It's impossible to imagine the Democratic Party seeking a pro-life, free-trading, non-protectionist, deficit hawk. They'd have to be taking some steroids, I think, in order to let that happen."
Guess not.
Sigh. Is voting for someone so much to ask?

Date: 2004-03-10 01:02 pm (UTC)I've suspected for a while that McCain's campaigning for Bush is due to party loyalty than personal liking - I doubt the smear campaign Bush threw against McCain has been forgotten, and certainly McCain has been marginallized within his own party - he's got too much personal power and prestige, but the NeoCon GOPers can't stand him because he's too old school GOP for their tastes.
