Rain, Rain

We got a gas grill so I could do some traditional Texas cooking. Friday I picked up some hamburger so I could make the first meal on it this weekend.

Tonight I made one last attempt to go grill . . . it was just drizzling a little . . . and as I lifted up the lid it started pouring again. So I made us Hamburger Helper.

Sigh.

Whew! Well, we need the rain - but dang!!!!!!

Oh, I like rain. Rain is great. It reminds me we've escaped from LA. It gives me nice woods to look at instead of desert scrub.

But we've got a decent shot at breaking the 1928 record for rainest June ever in Fort Worth today (11.6"). Only need another 1.2 inches and we got 2.6 yesterday. That's a bit more than I was hoping for.
